Most people go to Oahu for the beaches, the scenic tourist attractions, or just to relax. I go for shrimp salad, specifically, the shrimp salad from this place. I love it so much that I take pictures of every shrimp salad I eat and I have a separate photo album on my phone so I can save and go back and look at the pics when I can't be physically there to eat it. Everything at the wine bar is delicious and you can't go wrong. The seafood is so fresh and we were told most of the seafood is from the Hawaiian islands. The shrimp is from Kauai. Reservations recommended if you are going at prime time. I have not needed to park so do not know what the parking situation looks like.
Great service. Huge selection. It is in a small corner at the Royal Hawaiian Center so there's not much to say about the ambiance. We only got to try the burrata and wine but the breakfast looks delightful. You can tell the burrata was fresh and they used quality farm to table ingredients. They put small balsamic balls that pop in your mouth on top and gave us some local honey with the bread. We will come back next time. Mahalo Island Vintage.
This is a popular place located on the second floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center. They offer everything from a variety of beverages, delicious breakfast items, delicious meals and charcuterie boards after 4pm. My favorite time to go is for brunch and I love the original Acai Berry bowl and their Breakfast plate. Their portions are generous enough to share. My favorite server is Samantha, she is so attentive and always provides service with a smile. Although the prices are fairly high, it's to be expected in Waikiki. Great place to bring your friends with a casual atmosphere.
Definitely a worthwhile experience and would recommend placing a reservation ahead of time, as it's in the heart of Waikiki and Island Vintage is very well known. The guava mimosa is made pretty well, the loco moco is super savory! I'm pretty sure it's one of their signature dishes. The shoyu poke bowl gave me the most shock tbh. It's mainland-style, where there are more ingredients than just the fish and rice (avocado, ginger, etc). I was skeptical just because the mainland is known to butcher poke bowls in my opinion but Island Vintage made it work and I enjoyed every bit of it! Good portions and they all meshed well together!
Pro tip: you see that huge line for the island vintage coffee shop? Yeah, just skip it and head here instead. Literally will save you the time and hassle of getting coffee and breakfast. Also, you really will get to enjoy yourself more if you sit down and enjoy the food too! Our waitresses were really nice and prompt. What we got: - Haupia Acai Bowl (5/5): That cream is a dream! I would have never thought to try coconut cream on top of an acai bowl but it goes together quite well. We opted out of the papaya, but would not have missed it. - Island Latte (5/5): Coffee lovers, this is for you. Just love the nuttiness and richness of this coffee Maui Lavender Latte (5/5): This has strong notes of lavender and oat milk. So if you are not a fan, skip this. But I am so I love! Just an overall nice place to stop by for breakfast to start your day or take a break from the shopping.
Hubby and I came here twice on our anniversary trip to Waikiki. Delicious and fresh food and great variety. I had the Ahi poke salad dish and hubby had the ham and egg croissant !! Both 9/10. Second time hubby had the the burger and I had the loco moco with wagyu beef. Both 9/10!! Great service and amazing wines! Highly recommend !!
We didn't have much expectation about this page; though this place is causal but still a little fancier to take kids. The food really blew my mind! The garlic shrimps were big, juicy and flavorful and its big size. The steamed clams are to die for...Mahi mahi was also wonderful and fresh! They have wine specialist walked around and asking if you want wine and give you some recommendation. We had a wonderful meal here! Definitely will come by again!
Another great breakfast at Island Vintage Wine Bar. There is a QR code scanner to put your name on the waiting list located at the hostess stand. The kitchen is shared with Island Vintage Coffee so drinks come out a little slower than you might be used to, just order early and be prepared to wait for it, but it's worth the wait. I love the B.A.L.T (bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato) sandwich. It's simple and light but filling at the same time. I love sitting here rather than waiting in the to go line for Island Vintage Coffee.
**6/5, 11/10, or 110/100**!! Whatever the scale, ISLAND VINTAGE WINE BAR at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki was outstanding!! Try the Taro Bagel!! Now, we actually didn't come for the wine at 8:30am. Haha! We actually were in line at the coffee shop, which wrapped around the 2nd floor pretty deep. As we stood there, we noticed IVWB just across the walkway. My nephew went to ask the host if they offer coffee and breakfast. To our surprise, she said "Yes!"Our wait was only 20 mins to be seated at a table, which was 100% better than having to hunt one down, if you're lucky to even find one nearby. Service was super friendly and attentive, which put us in a great mood! TARO BAGEL. This flavor was highlighted at the hostess bar. We ended up ordering: BACON BREAKFAST BAGEL - everything about this was incredible!! The fresh and fluffy taro bagel. The crispy, fatty bacon. The truffle aioli. WOWzers. Not sharing. Not even a bite! Get your own!! Potatoes were amazing. AVOCADO TOAST - we weren't sure of the cranberry walnut bread, but it works! Photos do not do this justice. We ended up sharing this, so it was a good addition as a small bite. CACAO MOANA ACAI BOWL - Almond butter. Cacao nibs. Blackberries. Everything about this was refreshing and just good going down. Nice touch with the fresh orchid. AFFOGATO w/ Macadamia Nit Gelato. Yummmm! I drank this too fast. Lol. Excellent! Food was amazingly delicious. We just hiked Diamond Head so we came in hot with an appetite for something sweet & savory. Island Vintage Wine Bar hit the spot on every level!!
